TOP STONE is an engineered quartz stone which consists of 93% natural quartzite and 7% binding material and colour pigments. It is therefore exceptionally suitable for kitchen counter tops and counters of all types in interior settings. The mixture is fed into a form and then fabricated into slab material under pressure, vibration and vacuum. After this process the slabs are calibrated and the surface is polished. The resulting slabs have a utilizable dimension of 300 cm x 136 cm. Our TOP STONE kitchen counter tops are made from these high quality engineered quartz stone slabs.
Colours
Natural raw materials are used almost exclusively during production. Therefore it is not feasible to permanently maintain exactly the same colourations and structures. Deviations from the presentation samples are therefore possible. For this reason we urge our customers to order possible additional requirements with the main order or to reserve sufficient material.
Characteristics
TOP STONE is a massive material which is characterised by special properties. It is very dense when compared to granite, non-porous, harder, extreme wear and scratch resistant. The material absorbs only 0.04% moisture and is very hygienic thanks to its acid and stain resistance.
The surface should be rinses with water after limited exposure to aggressive materials.
TOP STONE-counter tops are extremely long lasting, can withstand heavy loads and for the most part is break proof.
The material is heat-resistant, however hot pads should be used for hot objects such as cooking pots.
Maintenance
The work tops are to be cleaned using clear water and a small amount dishwashing liquid cleaner. The remaining water film can be removed using a cloth. In order to avoid surface and structural damage to the stone surface abrasive scouring materials or wire brushes should not be used. The surfaces of the series Strukturit as well as all matt surface qualities are not polished. Thereby they are easier to soil. The cleaning of these surfaces requires more effort, is however in almost all situations possible. We recommend the use of our TOP STONE-cleaner which is always available. As your TOP STONE-work top is delivered you will received a detailed installation and maintenance recommendation.
Transport and Installation
Transportation of kitchen work tops should always occur in vertical position. Danger of breakage unpredictably exists, especially in horizontal position and in particular by the cut-outs for sink and cook field. The panels are to be installed without force and perfectly level. The panels should never be stepped on (for example by window cleaning).
Structured Surfaces and Surfaces with Inlays
The qualities of the series Strukturit have a structured surface. Due to the production process, relatively irregular peaks and valleys, fine cracks and colour shading can occur. Surfaces with inserts (i.e. mother-of-pearl) can experience colour variation in the colour. Such structures are random and underlie limited influence. They are typical production features giving expression of the natural character of the material and do not give reason for complaint. In the vicinity of joints, the directions of the material structures can contradict. We always attempt to achieve a harmonious joint appearance. The respective edge processing is achieved through grinding and results in a smooth, non-structured surface.
Complaints
Deficiencies but be registered with the manufacturer within 7 working days from date of delivery. Complaints can only be accepted prior to installation. Complaints can not be accepted after installation of the work top.
Cancellation
Due to short delivery times and custom finishing, changes or cancellation after placement of order can only be accepted against penalty charges.

Delivery times
All Kitchen counter tops of the 1.3cm concept are finished ex-Works within 10 working days from date of work-order acceptance. All other orders require different dispatch times which we calculate and inform individually.
